Our funding

The Red Hen Project is a registered charity and we have a number of sources of income.

The majority of our funding comes from a second grant from The Big Lottery – Reaching Communities Fund.  This grant runs from 2018-21, and it is the second time we have been fortunate enough to have Lottery funding.

The five primary schools that we work with, who refer families to our 121 family support, pay a small amount each year to help fund the work.

These two sources of income only cover part of our costs, and we rely heavily upon grants and donation from individuals and groups to enable us to deliver our service.

If you would like to discuss how you could help support us financially to continue our good work, please contact sarah.crick@redhenproject.org or call her on 07867 303 866.
