Red Hen family worker Maria David has always wanted to challenge herself with a skydive. Wanting to push herself outside of her comfort zone has been part of her 40th birthday plans for some time.
When Szuszanna heard, she was inspired to join Maria – and raise funds for the charity that has been such an important part of her life.
“Red Hen means a lot to myself and my family. Since I had my two boys now age 8 and 11, we have had our fair share of challenges as a family. Bonding with the boys did not come naturally. I suffered from post-natal depression and psychosis and was admitted to hospital after giving birth.
Thanks to the lovely staff in the hospital I recovered, but when I was discharged, I felt lost and had no confidence in my parenting ability. My family lives abroad (I am originally from Hungary), and I was isolated. I am so grateful to The Red Hen Project, and I’m not sure where my family and I would be right now if it hadn’t been for their help.”
Please help Zsuzsanna, now a nurse at Papworth Hospital, reach her target of £500 by sponsoring her HERE
